10 gallon Sump Advice

I am adding a 10 gallon sump to my 29 gallon tank. It is going to house my Aquaticlife 115 protein skimmer, a decently sized refugium section and a rio 1400 return pump. On this system do you think that the Aquaticlife 115 protein skimmer will be enough? I will be doing my 20% water changes ever other week. I just want to dedicate as much space for the fuge as possible.

I've been looking at the Hydor Slim Skim but not sure if that would be able to be submerged in a 10 gallon or not. I think that the one I'm running now should be fine and read of some people doing exactly what I am online.
