36 in lights for a 30in

can i put 36in lights ona 30 inch aquarium some how any sugestions on how to do this if its even posible please help

On some lights,the legs slide in and out to adjust to the size of the tank.Another option is to hang the light.Many come hanging kits.

Right now I have a 36" T5 fixture on a 30" 29g tank. I just have some overhang. The legs on my fixture are adjustable as I'm sure most are.
