55 gal sump refuge

i am new to sw and i have a 125 gal.that iam setting up.i also have a 55 gal that i want to use as sump refuge.does anyone have pics of there sump and how they done it.also i want to put a protein skimmer in the sump.iam going to put this in my basement (sump)and the water is going to have to run about 8 feet.any info on pump?
