Adding substrate

So I was wondering if I could add Crushed coral or some other substrate that has larger grain then my sand which is really fine. Maybe something that can help with building in the sand(Inhabitants). Of course this would be dry sand going into a cycled tank.

I wouldn't suggest crushed coral...no one here is gonna suggest it. If you wanna add some sand, you could do that, just slowly add a lil' at a time.

So your just adding crushed coral? If you plan on taking out the sand you might stir up some harmful bacteria that's been trapped. You could though take some out bit by bit over time.
