Additives

Depends what you have in there. If you have mainly soft corals and a good amount of fish you can get away with just water changes and no additives. Phospage removers can be useful, but there are no nitrate removes.

Most soft corals and LPS can just be fed Frozen food like your fish.

IF you have SPS Corals, which are hard corals like acropora, you will have to monitor and maintain calcium, magnesium and alkalinity, but this is very advanced. :)

well the only one you need to feed is the sunflower coral, other than that, you just have to do water changes and feed your fish :) easy huh?

he means nitrate. Read up on vodka dosing. IT is also known as carbon dosing. I am trialing this in a different way but it is not necessary, stick to the water changes and you will be fine, when you get more experience, have a look into new methods :)

Protein Skimmers remove organic waste before it gets into the water column. It can't take out all the waste, thus phosphates, and a few other annoying things. phosban ban and some phos pellets remove phosphates specifically.

But in the small system you are running, you should be able to get everything out by jsut doing water changes. Thats your easiest and cheapests solution.
