Adequate RO filter??

My brother had let me use this RO filter the M-PRO. IS this an adequate RO unit to use? I didn't even realize it's not a DI as well. I am having an algae bloom, and I'm guessing this is the cause of it?? :frustrat:

It doesnt necessarily have to be deionized. Use a TDS meter and check how many parts per million are in the water. As close to 0 is most ideal. I can achieve 4ppm with just a GE drinking RO unit.

Ok thanks what is the cut off ppm you want to look out for?

I always change the RO membrane when it hits double digits on the TDS meter
