Aiptasia control pt. 2

So I've got a syringe and I was planning on using lemon juice to kill them. I've read that that will raise the pH in my tank but by how much? Also, how much lemon juice will each anemone take to kill it? Thanks.

Lemon juice is an acid, so it'll drop your pH (the pH of lemon juice is 2.3). I don't know about lemon juice, but for Joe's Juice, it recommends 1 ml per aiptasia, which is a lot. I'd recommend not doing more than 3 or 4 aiptasia at a time. Then do 3 or 4 the next day. Give your tank time to "recover" in between. I don't think that adding that small of an amount of lemon juice will make a noticeable difference though.

Biff is correct,

The less aiptasia you inject per session, the less likely to cause any change in your ph.
Throw in some peppermint shrimp as well, they could possibly keep the breakouts at bay.

peppermints never let me down before. Easiest, safest and most natural way to deal with aips. Get 3 or 4 of them because not all work on aips.
