algae scrubber?

How many people using these? I bought the knitting plastic today and was thinking about putting 1 of these together. Is it as good as it sounds? I prob have 300 lbs live rock in a 200g total tank, still have algae probs though.

They do work. I ran one for about a year until my lighting changed and it wouldn't fit above the tank. Just haven't gotten around to build another one yet.

I had one for a while and it was great. I think after 3-4 months I had to take it down because it was shooting water everywhere, my stand was a mess.

I ran one for a while.. but ended up hanging three pieces of the knitting sheet in my refuge for the algae to grow on. I can harvest it just fine from there.. what was a pain in the ass was the constant hassle of water spray and coating things. I just boosted the lighting in my refuge to enhance and encourage algae growth in the fabric. It hasn't been long enough to report on results.
