Alk test gone wild

I used a fairly new API Alk test just a week ago and it worked fine. Now when I add the drops, it fizzes and just turns yellow. I added 30 drops and it just gets more yellow. It is supposed to turn blue after maybe 7 or 8 drops. 7 drops means 7 dkh or 8 drop is 8 dkh. Anyone ever had a test do this? It sat on a shelf for a week and then just went bad?

That's weird.
Maybe go buy a second one and if it works normal contact API about the first one.

Is it possible that somehow it got contaminated? Kids messing with it?

I thought it was the other way around, it starts blue then turns yellow?

Either way I'd take it back.

I had an API alk test kit go bad on me recently as well. Double check it!

Yeah, I checked it. I may send API an email. Its one thign for a test to just get old but this is just weird.

sometime they are old and have been sitting on the shelf at the pet store for a year or more
