my alk is low it is at 3 so i wanted to raise it but i use kent dkh and my ph is at 8.2 so i am wondering is i can use baking soda to raise the alk i just dont want to over shoot my ph. any ideas?:question:

I use baking soda for my alk, but you are right on if you are measuring mEq/l

yes the measure is in mEq/l but that is only about 8 dkh i think and i want it at at least 11 to 12 dkh.

There are buffers that will raise akalinity without over-shooting pH.I use Seachem reef builder.I'm unsure about the baking soda though.
