Hello everyone, I just did an alkalinity test on my tank. It took 10 drops to turn my water from blue to yellow. Can someone please tell me how I read this? My instructions say take the total number of drops And divide it by 2. Ok so my alkalinity is 5? Is this where it is supposed to be?

10 drops is 5 meq. And that's high. That's equal to 14 dkh and the reccomended range is 8 to 14. What kind of salt are you using? What are you dosing?

that's weird... looking at your other post with your params where your sallinity was 1.022 and your alk was 6 (I assume meq/L?... please put units on your readings so we are better informed :D).... that's a pretty low salinity for such a high alk. Like Brian said, are you dosing?
