anemone's and lights question

Can i use an actinic compact fluorescent light for an anemone? and also any one have any bad experiences with anemone?

you need strong like for anemone. t5 or MH. anemones can walk around your tank untill they find a spot they like. so if anything is in the way it will sting your other corals.

PC`s dont have enough intensity for an anenome. I too would suggest T5`s or MH`s.

Yeah, with all the horror stories I've heard like Yote's, I really don't think it's worth the risk. Especially when there are so many corals out there that are so much cooler and easier to care for that won't destroy your tank overnight.

Not to mention that some of them are pretty good at grabbing fish. Today at work one of the fire anemones snabbed himself a royal gramma and had it digested within about 3 hours.

My anemone got sucked into our powerhead once...Looked gruesome for a little while but he brushed himself off and went back to work!
