anybody have an idea as to where my peppermint shrimp disappeared to? or who ate her/killed her haha

Shrimp die. All the time. It sucks. But it's the circle of life. They can be so hit or miss. That or it just molted and it's hiding. Did you find a molt?

haha no its been "hiding" for a little over two weeks and no molt. weird i never saw an ammonia spike

Do you have a CUC in your tank, if so thats why there was no ammonia spike

the only carnivore is the emerald crab who ive never seen eat anything other than algae

I'm sure you have bristle worms too, the emerald will eat meaty foods though. Mine steal silversides from my starfish all the time now

I doubt a pep shrimp would cause an ammonia spike. What little meat there is would be eaten by your CUC right away.

Its living in your rock and only comes out when your not looking.

Its still alive :)

I put mine in my tank 2 weeks ago and have yet to see it.

You know they are nocturnal? and even in moonlights its pretty rare to get glimpses of em.

wow, i feel lucky, i see my peppermint shrimps daily, they even come out for feedings.

sure he is fine, they are hard to find a lot of the time. Skunk shrimps are better!

they like to hide alot but if you saw it all the time before i am afraid to say it is more than likely gone.

Oh I have concluded it's gone haha I highy doubt it's eating. I could at least find a leg or antenna stickig out of the rock somewhere but now I can't see that even haha
