I have the Proflex Model 2.
I put my refugium in the cent and the last chamber has my return pump and the skimmer pump so when the water gets low in the last chamber like it does everyday from evaporation my skimmer level drops with it.
Then I refill the lost water and the skimmer is running again fine. I mean it runs fine all the time it just isn't skimming the same all day everyday.
I want to keep the refugium but I am pretty sure the skimmer is not effecient set up this way.
Has anyone been able to put a pump under the socks and run only one sock so you can pipe the water to the skimmer..
I have mine HOB style on the third chamber.
I want to leave it there so I can have the water returning on top of the sponge like it is between the 2nd and 3rd chambers.
I DO NOT want to try to drill and plumb the first chamber.
