Is it bad to have Aptasia growing int he sump? just wondering if i should leave it or get some pepermint shrimp to eat it.

They can transfer to the display but IMO I would leave them...they are just filter feeders. Wrong forum though...;)

i realized it was the wrong forum after i submitted it lol... TO EARLY FOR THIS lol... Havent had coffee yet.

At the LFS,we'll leave any aiptasia that pops up in the sumps alone. They are actually great for nutrient export and feeding on suspended organics that that can catch.
+1 Ryan

im not worried about it spreading to the DT as i dont have coral yet and i do have pepermint shrimp to eat the aptasia if it gets to the DT.

But I thought the aiptasia would eventually spread to everywhere, no?

Thats where the Peppermint shrimp and Butterfly fish come in.:D Especially the Butterfly's.
But I also don't recommend a butterfly fish for most hobbyist tanks.
