AquaStik epoxy & skimmer

Quick question...Do I really need to turn my protein skimmer off while this frag epoxy cures? I thought the back of the package said something like 36 hrs after placed in the tank, but I threw it out already. Just curious not a big deal, thank you.

yes i would it will make your skimmer go crazy

You can get water weld (make sure its safe for portable water) at the hardware store and it works very well, much cheaper too

Thanks little_fish, that stuff gets awesome reviews...I haven't seen one negative comment about it...I'll have to keep that in mind for when this aquastik runs out.

Plus from what I have read, your protein skimmer doesn't have to be off as long.

thats what i always used is the water weld but make shure your skimmer is off for a couple days. it just makes them go nuts
