Are Gobies mean ??

My Yellow Watchman Goby came out from his corner spot today, grabbed a small nassarius snail with his mouth and took it back to his corner, kinda shook it, like a dog with a bone and spit it out. Funny as hell to watch, is this their normal behavior ?

Dunno if it's normal. I'm sure other goby experts will chime up. I've had a 2 spot goby and now I have a clown goby....both are nice. The most aggressive my clown goby gets is when it's feeding time, and he'll practically bite off the stick I use to put food in.

That's pretty normal IMO. They really like to pick up things with their mouth and spit them out around their den cavern. Kinda like an ant bed. He probably just saw it as an object like a small piece of rock rubble or empty shell.

LOL. My blue tangs in my 850 will play with the snails and crabs, its funny to watch one will pick a crab up and carry around then drop it and another will try to grab it before it hits the ground. :D

My pink spotted goby does it all the time. Very normal.
