Finally found it! Have not seen it for a few days now. Holy cow do they stink when they are taken out of the tank!!! Caught one of my midget hermits snacking on it, yuck!!

Consider yourself lucky. I hate my snails. I purposely try and kill them, flip them over, when I have my arm in my tank.

i've never pulled them out. Figuring the hermits/serpeant star has to eat as well. I don't think they really pollute my water enough to pull them out.

Ha ha ha, I did't think I would stir up this much on this the thread. My tank is small and quite stable, leaving them in there would be cruel to the rest of the inhabitants.

I would pull out dead stuff if you are having trouble keeping nitrates down.

Nitrates are at zero, same as my IQ ha ha ha!
Have not had trouble with any of the parameters, just don't want to get problems.
