attaching soft corals

Hi can someone please provide these infos?

1) How can i attach a soft coral to a rock? I'v tried attaching them by rocks but are taking by currents
2) How can i split a soft coral in two parts?

What kind of coral? I simply took my star polyps and cut a piece off with scissors and used a rubber band to hold it wher I want. Like this:

For corals like leathers, it's easiest to take a piece of thread and a needle, and put the needle through the base of the coral and tie it down to the rock. It will attach itself over time, and you can remove the thread.

For most other corals, you should use an epoxy putty or superglue gel.
