baby anem?

this looks to me like a mini anem... its not aptasia it looks almost like a bubble anem... i have no idea how they reproduce but i did have the green bta in here before...could it be?

I don't think that's a BTA. It doesn't look like a BTA at all. My guess would either be aiptasia or majano. Both are pests.

yep looked up some references confirmed its a majano. ill work on getting rid of it soon. will a pep eat it? mine vanished but i wanted a fire shrimp or skunk cleaner instead...

Aiptasia-X works the best. Do it soon before it spreads.

Peps won't eat majano, unfortunately. You will need to take care of it yourself!

can i just cut the anem out with a razor or will that makeit worse haha

You actually shoot the aptasia X into the mouth of the pest nem. It is a spot treatment so it doesnt get into anything else. Cutting it with a razor would cause it to spread faster.

Yeah and you'll be lucky if you can even get to it with a razor. It will retract back into the rock before you even have a chance. Aiptasia X is safe. Don't squirt it directly on your corals or clam, and they will be fine. It's even fine if you get some floating around in the water.

I have used straight lemon juice. I used a sringe with a needle that I used to inject into the center of the aptasia.
