Baby worm or benefecial bacteria??

So in my 8 gallon cycling tank i spot 3 little worm like critters squirming around in the surface of the water. They look like they have some bristles on the sides. They're tiny. I took all 3 of em out. Afraid it would be a worm and itll grow out in my tank. Im not sure if its biological bacteria either. Anyone knows what it is??

Do you have a picture...it does sound like a bristleworm. They are a good member of your cuc.

You would not be able to see bacteria, it definitely some sort of multicellular creature.

I was likely some type of bristle worm and for future notice, you should leave them in there. They are super member of your CUC. And contrary to popular opinion, they dont harm anything unless its already dead or dying.
