Balast Replacement

Anyone know where I can find replacement balasts? My 36in T5 has 2 balasts that went out and im trying to find replacements but i have no idea what will work...


Any help is appreciated.

Easiest way would be to open the fixture and get the part number off the ballast. Probably not the cheapest way though. Ballasts can be on the pricey side.

Cheaper would be to order a fulham ballast. But it might not fit inside your fixture.

i second the fulham ballast.. i'm running work horse 7's but you may not need that big of a ballast... try thier website...

how do you know which ballasts will work? just by the wattage? im really inexperienced when it comes to this kind of stuff...

also, i saw most ballasts were like 20 to 30 dollars... if i was gonna replace all the ballasts its almost worth getting new fixture. Is there anything around the 150-200 thats decent? T5 or metal halide would work... but i need at least 160 or so watts for all my corals.

this will run one bulb in your fixture

how many bulbs do you have? and wattage?

its a 4 bulb fixture, 36W a piece if i remember correctly...

does it depends on length of bulb, etc? or just wattage?

All t5 HO 36" bulbs have the same wattage.

On the fulham website, there is a pull down menu that you input your bulb info in and it gives you the right ballast.
