What is the algae, slime, stuff that collects on the glass? AND what can be done to reduce its accumulation on the glass, power heads, fixtures? This seems such a basic question, but I have never asked or seen it discussed. Mine tends to build up where the hardest flow is on the glass.

Are you talking about a hazy green kind of algae?

Yup. The dusty looking stuff that gets on the glass. Comes off easy enough, I'm just curious.

I think running an algae scrubbed helps, but it is just par for the course really. It is film algae.
