What are some successful ways to combat cyano?

Don't overfeed, don't overstock, use only RODI water, suck out cyano with a turkey baster, do regular water changes, increase flow. You can use a product like Chemiclean, but they aren't 100% safe and the bacteria becomes resistant to it over time, so it may not be effective.
