Reefing newb
Alright whats the best way to catch a fish in a reef tank? I read Docs thread but still had to pull out all my rock to catch my yellow tang. Now I have this prick of a damsel (blue belly thought it was cool for $6) anyway its tearing my corals to pieces. So he has to go and I dont want to tear the tank a part again. Any advise besides a bbq fork doc?

Cut the end off of a 2 liter bottle a little bigger than the fish. Put some sad and little rocks in it to make it stay on the bottom and it does seem to scare them less. Put some of their favorite food it the bottle as far back as you can get it. Damsels are very stupid. I caught all 5 of mine in 20 minutes doing this. When the fish goes into the bottle for the food cover the hole with a net as fast as you can.

I've used the bottle trap and fishing pole method, both with decent success.
All you need for the fishing pole,is the smallest trout fly you can find.Make sure the hook is barbless.
If those fail,a 12 volt battery and a set of jumper cables works well too.

the two liter bottle sounds like a good ideal, i can't get rid of my bluefin damsel neither, i want to put him in my FO tank
