Is a reef possible to have without a clean up crew?

I wan't some fish that would rip apart a clean up crew so please help! :question:

Yes...you could find fish that do the same thing as the inverts instead.

I think if you have good flow, good husbandry/maintenance practices and a large sump/fuge it should be possible

Yeah, i have a problem keeping my snails with my hawkfish. The astreas and turbos are fine but the nass and ceriths take a beating. I just replenish them because more fish just isnt an option. Feel kinda bad sending them in to die though.

I once had some hermits that were each the size of a child's fist and they were compatible with large fish only. They are hard to find though. The kept my tank immaculate but they would quickly kill turbos.

You could get a fish that eats algae off the rocks like a lawnmower blenny or a tang, or a diamond goby to shift the sand. You'll just be responsible for keeping the glass clean.

Good I was planning on getting a tang or two anyway and a coral cat.
