Biocube HQI

Hello all, Some of you may remember me. I had a jbj nano cube, and was setting up a 65 gallon. Things went badly with my now ex, so she kept the tanks and I moved on.

I just bought a biocube HQI tonight. Everything seems fine with it (it was used), but the fan is loud on the light.

Would anyone have any tips on the fuge setup, and a possible fan mod that would be much quieter?

I am looking forward to getting things back up and running, i've missed the hobby.

1+ There is a lot out there on Fan Mods for the hood. Also check out /www.nanotuners.com. I just ditched the hood and got a 150 watt Sunpod

When mine got loud I emailed the company (oceanic) and they immediately sent me 2 free fan kits, they were easy to swap out and made a huge difference. They said that sometimes the fans go bad, parts get loose, etc so swapping it out helps.
