Blue sponge?

I got some dark blue spots that developed over a few weeks on one of my rocks...it looks just like a sponge. I cant take a pic at the moment.

Anyone know anything about this?

They do pop up in new places. I have a purple sponge that grows in my tank and ends up on other rocks over time.

Sounds like a blue sponge. Congrats! They are one of the prettier ones, IMO.

I have some dark blue stuff, but I don't think it is sponge.

sounds like blue sponge. Just leave it where its at and it will keep growing.

I have several different colors of sponges in my tank. They are excellent filter feeders.
