Brain coral is eating my shrimp

This unfortunate shrimp should not have walked across the brain coral I guess.

Peppermint shrimp. I got up at 5 am and noticed it tail up in the coral. Got up again at 9 am, the shrimp is gone and the coral is puffed up with a large bump in the middle. I guess it at the whole thing. I dint know they could grab and hold a shrimp like that.

are you certain it wasnt a molt?

Yes it was not a molt. I have seen them enough to know it was the shrimp.

wow... that's a new one on me! Look on the bright side, the brain coral is a lot more expensive, and now it will grow and be healthy!
