Breakout!

HI EVERYONE,
I have a breakout of these little circular clam barnacle looking things they started out just a few on the back of my tank then i went out of town for a few days and now they are all over!

Yeah, i get a bunch of those and the black angel they are all over the place in the river by my house. I catch them in traps almost every week but most are to small.

Sounds like spirobid worms-harmless,reef safe.

Most tanks will get a lot of very small, white feather dusters with calcerous, spiral shells. They are harmless unless they have time to grow on the glass. I tried to scrape them off with a mag float and the shells got between the glass and the scraper and scratched my glass. Now I use a old credit card to scrape them off.

Yeah i know about the spiral feather duster shells but these are like a barnacle or a limpet of some sort they move around the back of my tank.

I think Reeffreak got it right. My wife just noticed some of these in my tank, so I've been doing research on what they are for the past hour. They're a harmless filter feeder. Sign of a healthy tank. :)

Yep, they be the ones that scratch your glass. Scrape them off glass with a razor blade or credit card.
