Just curious, I got a killer deal on a ton of Brita Filter cartridges...since I only have a 10G, It really wouldn't be terribly difficult to use the Brita for water changes. Would this be doable? Thanks.

They are just charcoal filters. Better than straight tap water, but not as good as RO water.

I've tested Brita filtered water and the TDS is over a 100. You really need TDS <10. Distilled water is pricey but it has TDS under 10.

If your doing a 10% water change even a 20% distilled will cost you around .84c a gallon at walmart individually or even cheaper if you are buying in a larger container from their tap of their RODI.

They are just charcoal filters. Mainly to improve the taste of drinking water, as they don't remove much.
