Bubble moved.

I have a bubble tip anemone that moved last night.
I have had him for around 2 months and he was always in the same
spot. He has now gone to a lower light spot on the back of the rock he was on.
Not looking grand.
Should I move him as he wont get any current to move back there
He has usually beenn small during the day and expands at night.
Please let me know.
Thanks

I would leave him alone for now, they tend to move to find a better location that they like...if he stays in the back for a few days, then I would move him back into the light.

Hopefully there is nothing too close to it so in it's travels it doesn't destroy anything for you. I would leave it alone. it's going to find it's own spot anyway, no matter how many times you move it.

+1 Rookie
Just leave it alone unless it starts looking like its dying. It wont matter how many times you move the anemone,if it dont like where you put it,its gonna move.Plus the more you touch it,the more stressed it gets.

I wouldn't move him either. You have to figure out the reason for him moving.
When they do they are usually unhappy with where they where at.
Did you change the water flow in that area?
Are your lights out in that area>
Are you feeding him enough.
Anemones will move if there is not enough food in that area looking for a better
spot to find food.
Do not move it. Feed it where it is and keep an eye on it.
Also, they will move if they are going to split as the rock work may be better for the split where it moved to. So vigilance is necessary.

guy at the store said that the clowns would probably feed it enough.
Not to over feed.
Should I try squirting some brine shrimp into him. Hes tough to get at where he is.
Thanks,
A

The clowns should feed it some, but probably not enough if at all.
Cut up a silverside into small pieces,1/4 to 1/2" pieces.Thaw em out good then feed one piece to the anemone.

They also like Krill (small shrimp). I feed mine twice a week and it seems to stay put. If I skip a week I notice it moving some, wanting to find another place. So I guess it's true and I just realized it after Karen's post.

thank you I have a limited selection of food at the store.
This time they only had Meaty Foods. For Carnivores
I used that for the anemone today Seemed to like it.
He had moved again and I could barely find him he was quite a distance and through a couple tight spaces. Seemed to be open a bit and take the food hopefully.

Still doesn't look grand.
Last night after it looked like he ate his tents came out all the way.
I could barely see any pink. Now he is stretching with tiny bulbs sticking out.
Lots of pink
Should I try to feed him again.
He is behind rock at back of tank

I can only get to him through a tiny hole in between the rock at the back.
I will show a pick so you may see what im dealing with.
I can't seem to get pic to attach.
You can see in my folder.
Thanks,
AL
