Calcium reading

Tested my water today and all the Perams look good except for the calcium. Its off the chart that comes in the API test kit. Does anyone know what would cause it to be so high? I'm wondering how harmfull it is to my fish and what I can do besides a water change to get it back in range. Any help appreciated.

what is the alk level? If its dropping, i'd guess that there is a Mg depleation happening.

alk seems to be high as well at 2.9 - 3.6. I dont know if its droping or not as I've just started monitoring it

I would compare your results to another test before you start worrying, it seems like those tests go bad fairly quickly and people often get false results with the API calcium tests

Is it off the chart too high or too low, and also what kind of salt do you use?

Its off the chart to high, I've used Instant Ocean salt since day one
