Cerith and Nassarius Snails - do they ever move?

I just added 5 of each of these guys in hopes they will start cleaning up the sand.

I put them in 3 hours ago and they are still exactly where I left them?

Is this normal?

How did you acclimate them, cause they may be in a bit of shock. Once acclimated to your tank, they tend to bury themselves and stay until they smell food.

Drip for about an hour and a half. Then placed them on the sand bed.

Maybe thats it...I'll check things out in the morning.

It is common for snails to take a day or two to "come to life."

Throw some meaty food in there and see if they come alive. Especially the Nassarius snails.
