Chaeto/Fuge

I would like to add some chaeto and would even like to add a small fuge under my 150 reef tank but am limited to space underneath...if I just add some chaeto to the sump (which is only 12 x 12 for the overflow part) would this be beneficial? I would try and separate it from the mag drive pumps that are also in this sump area by using a small piece of eggcrate...I just keep reading the benefits of chaeto and would like to try it...thanks

As long as you can keep it out of the pumps, and it has some light, it will be okay.
