Cheato question

Okay, so I got a bag of this stuff for $2.00 ot the LFS. So now what? My sump is set up as follows, from left to right;

Return pump \ heaters and skimmer \ drain from tank and live rock

Where should this stuff go? I can move the pump to the center, or I think I can move the skimmer to the pump section, or I can (and have been putting off removing) remove the sponge filter over the LR and place it withe the LR. What should I do?

I would remove the sponge above the LR where it drains. You need to have a light under there also. I recommend a clip on reflector with a CFL bulb. They are like 6 or 7 bucks from Home Depot.

So I should place it on the eggcrate above the LR then? I have a light already and plan on doing a reverse schedule with it.

As long as it is fully submerged. You could even remove the egg crate since I think its only purpose was to hold the sponge right?

Yes, it holds the sponge, and seperates it from my LR. Can this stuff sit on top of the LR?

Cool beans! DONE! That sponge was NASTY. Waited too long to get rid of it. Hope I didn't mess up my chemistry by removing it. Gotta run tests later anyway. Added a Royal Gramma today too.
