What size circulation pump should I buy with a 45 gallon tank. I havent added any coral yet, but getting ready to. Trying to get everything I need first.
Reef tanks should run at least 20x your water volume, so being at 45g you should be looking at 900gph, or 2 powerheads at 450gph each. a FOWLR tank would only require 10x your water volume for turnover.
