Clam Placement?

I like how clams look on the sand, and most of the ones I have seen were on the sand... But liveaquaria says they need high lighting. My question is, can I keep a maxima clam on the bottom of my 20" tank under 198 watts of 3 watt crees?

Is your light Metal Halides (MH)? I have a clam about 12 inches under a 150 watts of MH and it has doubled in size in a year.

Clams and anemones have the highest light requirements for tank livestock.

It's LED. I don't have any par readings yet but it certainly looks brighter than any t5s I've seen.

Yeah clams needs lots of light! I wish I knew more about LED light.

I have a clam under 96 watts of t5 with individual reflectors in a 29 gallon tank. It has been growing great for about a year and a half now.
