Reefing newb
So in my 30 now I have:

About 23 Astrea Snails
3 Cerith Snails
3 Nassarius Snails (There appears to be a shortage of these in my area)
2 Brittle Stars
1 Emerald Crab

I have a HOB refugium with live rock, a not deep enough to do any good sand bed, and Saturday I added Biff's Chaeto.

Anyway, I've got a small amount of bubble algae and a small amount of hair algae. All my rocks are bright green but its just color...not a substance on top. Perhaps phyto? Or just some algae in the pores of the rock.

I'm heading out today to get a couple more Nassarius (assuming I can find them) and was thinking I should get another emerald as well. Thoughts?

The Nass snails dont eat algae but are good since you dont have hermits for scavengers. Another emerald wont hurt. "Biffy's Chaeto" should really help to starve the DT algae.

Besides nassarius snails,I don't see a need for anything else.

That green coating of algae will become less and less as your system matures.

That's Green Coralline :)
(early stages of the purple?) idk was a thread on it a while back... my rocks have all been green for months now
and I only have about 1/2 that amount in my 50g >.<

Really? I'll look into that, it doesn't seem to be plating though...more of just a colorization.
