cleaner shrimp

just wondering does anyone know how often a cleaner shrimp should molt? is 3 times in a month to much that he may be stressed? we have had some temp swings its been really hot last little while maybe that had something to do with it?

mine usually followed the phases of the moon

that sounds pretty normal, i wouldnt worry about the molting but would try and get the temp swings under control

cool thanks!! yes there should be no more temp issues now.any thoughts on a quality heater? ours is getting old now and im worried it may fail us one day

i think the titanium ones are pretty good, just check out the reviews and see how many people have had spontaneous failures. They break more than anything else in this hobby so it worth it to have a couple

I have had my cleaner for a while now and have never seen a molt. He is always out and about so doesn't seem stressed at all.

Mine has molted twice in the month (? I'm guessing) that I've had him. Just throwing it out there if it helps. :)
