Cleaner Shrimp

Hey guys, so I got a cleaner skunk shrimp a week ago and I LOVE IT. So I had to get another one today.

I noticed the one I got today had a yellow golden belly. So I got worried because the other one I have has a white belly.

So I type skunk cleaner shrimp and noticed ALL of them have yellow bellies.

So why does my original skunk shrimp have a white belly???

It might be that he will molt soon, that's just my 2 cents. Did he have a yellow belly when you bought him? Has he molted since you had him?

No he didn't have a yellow belly when I bought him.

And he hasn't molted either. Funny cause the white belly one is more active and was eating the second I dropped him in, the yellow belly, I put him in the tank and he just hangs out, doesn't eat yet, just put him in today.

There are several different species of cleaner shrimp, I'm guessing you just got one that was a slightly different coloration - I dont think its anything to be concerned about

I have nothing helpful to add other then my skunk cleaner is easily my most favorite shrimp in the tank. He is awesome and super social!
