Cloudy Water

Ok, My turn to be back to a newb :)

For some reason, the last 3-4 days, my water has been very cloudy.

I have introduced a new skimmer, setup a dosing pump and my DT is just majorly cloudy for no real reason!

Every parameter is in check, except my alkalinity, which im slowly brining up. What are some common causes I might be overlooking for cloudy water? My sump is not cloudy btw.

Should I run carbon on the tank to clean it up?

What are you dosing?

Is the skimmer spewing micro bubbles?

Any dead fish or anything that might have caused an algae bloom?

No dead fish, no dead corals, Skimmer is not spewing any bubbles, its runing 100% correctly.

I am dosing an alk, Red Sea nitrate remover (been useing for a long time), cal and mg, but all incredibly low dosages to keep everything in check.

I am assuming it could be an algae bloom?

Clean/rinse your sponge filter , change your carbon filter media make sure your skimmer is tuned

No sponge filter, no carbon media and my skimmer is tuned. :S

probably just a bacteria bloom, i would do a water change and let it run its course
