clow fish looks sick

RUSTYS BROWN DOUGHNUT
my clownfish is in the corner of m tank breathing heavily. my ph is at 8.4 or 8.5. is this the problem? nitrates and ammonia look fine. my salt is at 24.

my cardinal is swimming like nothing happened (vacumed my tank, water change, ph high, put ph bffing pouder into my tank creating a huje white cloud) and my clownfish is scared to death. all the corals have also closed up.

Your corals closing up is normal if you've just done a water change and added stuff to the tank. Keep an eye on your parameters for the next few days, your nitrates are fine, I think it was just the pH. And setting up a quarantine tank for your fish won't help unless the fish has a disease or injury, not pH problems.

Never add the powder buffer,or anything else thats a powder directly into your tank,
Dissolve the powder in a cup of RO water, then add to tank.
