Clown fish tips

flaked and pellet has food isnt very good, and its full of nitrates and phosphates where arent good for your tank. I recommend feeding a variety of high quality frozen foods, my favorite is Rods food but you can find all sorts of other good frozen foods at places like petco/petsmart.

And every other day is fine

I use frozen foods as well. And a good thing too is that they are not picky eaters at all. They even sometimes eat some of the sea weed I feed my tang :p. I feed my tank twice a day.

A variety of frozen food is probably your best bet on what to feed clowns, like littlefish said.

Bloodworms, mysis, krill, and cyclopeeze are what I would rotate through. Just like they find a variety of food in the wild, so should they in the tank to get all the nutrients they need. Enriched frozen food (vitamins added) is especially good.
