Clown Fish

I have two clown fish and they are sometimes swimming at the top of the tank, almost sideways, or with one of their top fins out of the water. They seem to do this sometimes and swim elsewhere other times. Is this just how they act or is something possibly going on? They seem to be eating without any issues.

Chalk it up to clowns being clowns, as long as they are eating and your water tests come back clean :)

Thanks. Just making sure cause they seem to be doing fine. They have a ton of body movement compared to the basslet and the cardinal in my tank. Their whole body moves when they swim.

I forget why, but they actually swim different than most fish which is part of the reason they are so fun to watch

+1 North....mine is usually hovering at the top when he's not eating. He's hosting the overflow. Idiot's been sucked in a couple of times LOL

They were swimming normally this morning and they ate flakes and shrimp this morning.

Yeah, mine will swim real goofy sometimes. theyll point down, then they'll point up. then they'll just bob around for a while, and they seem to be ok

All seems well with them. They are eating fine.
