Any input on clown mixing? I have heard some are not good to mix with others, and I have heard you can't mix any types at all? My son is 9, he has down Syndrome and all he knows is nemo, so Ideally i would love to have some clowns for him to watch, but i personally love the maroons. So, mix or not mix?

Clowns are actually a part of the Damsel family. Very Aggressive, mixing clowns generaly isnt a good idea. Honestly you could pick up 2 maroons and he may think that's nemo. My brother calls my Maroon nemo all the time lol

I wouldn't mix those two species. Maroons are a lot more aggressive than an ocellaris clown or percula clown. You can mix the ocellaris/percula varieties, for example a regular orange and white with a black and white. I love my Maroons but they are notorious for biting the hand that feeds them. Sometimes I have a friend hold my plastic grabbers in the tank to keep them away from me as I do maintenance. LOL

Others have you covered, but generally speaking its one pair of clowns to a tank, unless you're talking hundreds of gallons
