Can copper pipes in a home introduce copper into tanks? Or does the ro/di unit remove anything that would be coming through the pipes?

Yes, copper pipes can introduce copper into the water. And yes, the RODI unit removes that copper.

But if your home is a newer built house,it may not have copper plumbing.But I'd still use the RO/DI if it was me.

I use rodi. I also have some copper piping in my house, it was just something that came to mind that I haven't heard mentioned before.
