coraline algae on glass

my back glass is now purple with splotches of blue here and there (the background). i am seriously debating if i should scrap it all off so i can see the blue again. youre probably like, why would you want to do such a thing.. answer, my rock blends in with the glass and its a little overwhelming. again, im debating and not sure if i want to do it or not but i did have a question if i did.

would scraping all the coraline off create a swing in water parameters? i was unsure if it would all die and create a lot of nitrates or however it would work. what do you folks think?

Scraping it off wouldn't cause a spike in nutrients...all the coralline spores will just settle on your rocks and start growing there. It's a personal preference having it on the glass...some people like it, some people hate it.
