Crazy looking Sea Star

I have a few of those.
They arrived on my gorgonians. That's where they live.
During the day they are wrapped up tight on the gorgonian branches and you can hardly tell they are there. Then at night they spread all those legs. They are filter feeders. Mine are tiny though... about the size of a nickel when spread out.

they're filter feeders? The site said they need to be target fed multiple times per day. That's the only reason I wouldn't get one, I'm not home enough for that.

From what I read it appears that the sponges that it lives on have to be fed several times a day. The comments don't say the star has to be fed. At least that's what I understood.

They worded it confusing.
Keeping this animal is much like keeping a sponge or nps gorgonian.
It's a filter feeder and needs to be in an environment to support that.
Expert only.

They are cool hey,we see many here on collecting trips.
You tip over a large bit of dead coral in a current zone and you find one every time.
This is one is from a few weeks back.

Here's the only pic i have of mine. I have three of them like this... all very small.
Usually they are wrapped tight to the gorgonian during the day and then spread out like this at night when the lights are off.
