CUC = Hair Algae

what type of CUC member take care of hair algae? ( Short Ones) i have them growing like crazy but my par's are 0 :/

double check your testing equip and make sure that they are good. If they are then you can cut back your photo period. a urchin will do some damage on HA, and astrea are my favorite snail

Nutrients or lights or both are off and need some tweeking. I vote Tuxedo Urchin, mine kicks ass around the tank.

Oh Yeah! Mine is an algae eating machine... though he won't seem to touch the longer stuff. awesome critter. I enjoy mine! Just watch out if you have a black background... the days of reaching for things without carefully checking first are over. :-)
